Music

Grace Church is known for its dedicated, excellent and varied music program for all ages, which follows Royal School of Church Music standards. Dr. Anne Matlack, Choirmaster and Organist, directs our choirs, the Grace Community Music concert series, and is Artistic Director for the nationally recognized Harmonium Choral Society. The choirs at Grace overflow our choir stalls, with 35 adults split between the Sunday 9 am and 11:15 am choirs, and over 100 children participating in our School and Chapel Choirs, including a young men’s a capella group, The Gargoyles. The Grace Community Music concert series is dedicated to enriching the cultural life of the Madison area by presenting high quality concerts throughout the year, and the Church's sanctuary, with a 3 manual Tellers organ with gallery division, and beautiful Steinway B piano, and harpsichord, is recognized as acoustically refined performance space by area music teachers and performers.

Music Staff

The choir directors are led by Dr. Anne Matlack has a B.A. in Music from Yale University, and a M.M. and D.M.A. in Choral Conducting from University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music. As well as serving as Organist & Choirmaster at Grace Church, she conducts the acclaimed Harmonium Choral Society.
